Strategies are…

The Foundation for Sustainable Development implements following action strategies for the development of the poorest of the poor through its network organisations.

  • Strengthening Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and other Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) and increasing their capacities and skills in Sustainable Livelihood Management (SLM).
  • Providing training programmes to the Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), leaders of the Self-Help Groups (SHGs) on organisational development process (ODP) which is increasing their capacities and skills in addressing development issues and strategies.
  • Promoting environment awareness and protecting biodiversity of the country in association with local self-government/panchayat raj institutions (PRIs).
  • Conducting applied action research (AAR), documentation of reports and communication through dissemination.
  • Creating a common platform for all the rural and adivasi communities to share experiences and exchange best practices in the empowerment fields.
  • Working with panchayats, students, farmers, government officers, NGOs for the development of the rural and hill areas through collective action.
